Our Accommodations - The Carib Sands

We stayed at the beautiful Carib Sands condominiums on the West End of the island.  These are beautiful condos with all the amenities.  We had the ocean-front penthouse unit with four bedrooms and four and a half baths and couldn't have asked for more!

The Brac Pack just Hanging Out

We spent a lot of time just hanging out at the pool after diving.  There were very few people there, and most times we had the pool to ourselves.

Our Bluff Adventure

After five straight days of diving, we were done with that activity and ready to explore the island on Thursday.   We drove up the southern coast and visited the "Great Cave" and then drove up onto the bluff.

Steak Night!

Compliments of Chef Dave, we had a terrific filet dinner Thursday night.

Dive!  Dive!  Dive!

The diving was terrific on the Brac!  Although we didn't see any overly unusual sea life, the abundance of sea creatures and health of the reefs was amazing.  One of the most spectacular dives was at the north end of the island at a dive site called "Jerry's Rocks."   There was a lot of surge and getting back in the boat was a bit treacherous, but it was well worth it.  We did see one VERY interesting thing on a snorkel, though...an 8 foot hammerhead.   It was a beautiful site.  We saw it while snorkeling in the late afternoon off a pier.   We were told that fishermen often clean their fish in that area which is probably why it was in the area.   Unfortunately we only got a quick glimpse, and it didn't stay around long.
